Nation of immigrants

I think a nation of immigrants is like being a very diverse nation surrounded by many different ethnicities and cultures. The people who have the will power to leave their homeland and start a new life must posses incredible courage and determination. They must be able to have the nerve to leave everything they had behind to go to a area that may seem alienistic to them for the benefit of their family. To change everything they know about their culture to be involved in another is impressive and should be applauded for many of us have no idea the struggle and pursuit it takes to leave the place we love.
These traits of individuals have shaped America today in the way that it makes the country as a whole stronger. Every person is able to leave and has the courage to start a completely a new life and yet very few will do so the fact that America is shaped around immigrants shows the tolerance and courage they have to accept the immigrants and their new ways. I feel that American culture is incredibly important not only for us but them. They gain the freedom to continue and bring in their new vultures to America while we get the benefit of learning about them and their education. In America one of the great thongs is being able to learn so much from other cultures we would never know without immigration! I do not really feel connected to my 19 th century ancestry that were immigrants because I do not know very much about them. I really want to learn though for I am incredibly interested in my past!
